At Property Home Base, we welcome two types of professionals: those who are already experienced Buyer’s Agents ready to take their business further and those who are new to the industry and eager to start a rewarding career helping Australians find their perfect home.
🌱 Aspiring Buyer’s Agents (New to the Industry)
If you’re just getting started and want to build a career as a Buyer’s Agent, we’d love to hear from you too. Our partnership with Entry Education provides the perfect pathway to earn your Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) whilst simultaneously completing the Advanced Buyer's Agent Course and gain the knowledge and confidence you’ll need to succeed in a role with our company.
What we’re looking for in aspiring Buyer’s Agents:
- Previous real estate experience - while not a hard requirement, having experience as a Property Manager, a Sales Agent, or another role in real estate helps give a solid foundation to build upon.
- Currently studying - if you are currently enrolled in or planning to complete your Agent's Representatives license, this would set you up well to join our team.
- Passionate about property - if you love property and are motivated to help others achieve their home ownership or investment goals this is a great field for you.
- Strong communicators and active listeners - you need to have a genuine interest in understanding people.
- Solution oriented - part of this role is identifying potential pitfalls, but the other side of the coin is figuring out how to overcome those obstables.
- Driven learners - you'll have success if you are eager to absorb new knowledge, apply feedback, and continually improve your skills.
- Adaptable and self-motivated - it is key that you're able to manage your time and stay accountable in a flexible, self-directed role.

Start Your Journey — The Buyer’s Agent Course
New to the industry? Our Buyer’s Agent Course, delivered through Entry Education, provides all the knowledge you need to build a successful career as a professional Buyer’s Agent.
The course is structured around the Property Home Base Buyer Agent Training Curriculum, developed by PHB's Founding Director - Julie DeBondt-Barker and the Victorian State Manager and Company Director - Joe Dunbar.
If you do not have at least 12-months experience working as a Buyer's Agent full time, you will need to complete the Advanced Buyer's Agent Course to be considered for a position with PHB.
What does the Advanced Buyer's Agent Course Cover?
1. What Does It Take To Be A Buyers Agent?
This module introduces you to the fundamental skills you will need to develop to become a successful Buyer's Agent.
2. What Is Your Why: The Golden Circle
We utilise Simon Sinek's TED Talk to help dive into your motivating factors for becoming a Buyer's Agent.
3. Why Do People Need A Buyers Agent?
We explore the types of clients that you can service as a Buyer's Agent - giving a better understanding of the different niche markets you might want to specialise in.
4. Lead Management
This module is all about how to manage prospective clients and how to begin to convert them from a Lead into a Client.
5. Engagement Flow
We go through a high-level overview of an Engagement flow, reviewing all the steps to take a client from initial contact to purchasing their dream home – or investment property.
6. Consultation and Presentation
We train you how to effectively communicate service offerings to prospective clients and "seal the deal". We will train our proven methodology for how to structure an initial consultation for the best results.
7. Client Management
We cover the main hurdles to expect when managing clients – BEFORE they happen. We show you how to stay ahead of clients and their expectations, allowing the trainee to be an effective leader.
8. The Property Search
We show you the tips, tricks, and how to understand and utilise the tools of the trade to find the best property at the best price.
9. Understanding Different Types of Property Sales
We cover the various types of Private Sales and Strategies, as well as Auction Sales and Strategies, in order to get the best purchase results for your clients.
10. They’ve Found “The One” – What’s Next?
This module explores what the flow should be once a client has found a property that they want to purchase. Major sections in this module include Due Diligence, Setting Bid Limits for Auctions, and the beginnings of Negotiation.
11. Negotiation
We teach the necessary negotiation skills needed to purchase properties that a client has in their sights.
12. Contracts
We dive into, demystify, and help you understand everything you need to know about Contracts – remembering you will still need help from a Conveyancer/Settlement Agent/Solicitor.
13. The Finish Line
This module is about completing the job so that your clients finish up their journey happy – leading to the beginnings of referral-based businesses that you can grow!
